Summary
Tracer Vision is an iPhone app that adds a shot-tracer line to your golf clips. Tracing runs on your device — your videos are processed locally and are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal use. We collect only the limited information described below to run our waitlist, operate the app, and improve the product.
Information we collect
- Waitlist & contact details. If you join the early-access list or email us, we collect your email address and any message you send.
- Your videos and traces. Clips you import and the traces you create are stored on your device and in your own iCloud/photo library if you choose. We do not receive copies through normal app use.
- Usage & diagnostic data. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics (for example, feature usage, crash reports, device model and OS version) to keep the app stable and prioritize improvements.
- Purchase data. If you buy a subscription or in-app purchase, Apple processes the transaction; we receive purchase status, not your payment card details.
How we use information
- To send early-access, launch, and product updates you asked for (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- To respond to support requests and feedback.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not upload or keep your golf videos on our servers as part of normal tracing. We do not use your clips to train models without your explicit, separate consent.
Sharing
We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate — for example, email/waitlist tooling, analytics, crash reporting, and hosting — under agreements that limit their use of it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
Retention
We keep waitlist and contact information until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer needed for the purpose collected. Diagnostic data is retained in aggregated or de-identified form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@tracervision.app. Because your videos live on your device, you can delete them at any time from within the app or your photo library.
Children
Tracer Vision is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and where appropriate we'll notify you.
