Summary
Tracer Vision is an iPhone app that adds a shot-tracer line to your golf clips. Everything happens on your device. Your videos are imported, analyzed, traced, and exported locally — they are never uploaded to us, and we never see them.
We run no analytics. We run no crash reporting. We use no advertising identifier and we do not track you across apps or websites. We have no server that receives your data. The only information we handle is described below.
Information we collect
- Your videos and traces — stored on your device only. Clips you import, the curves you draw, and the videos you export stay in the app on your phone, and in your own photo library if you save them there. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or used to train anything.
- Purchase status. If you buy Tracer Vision Pro, Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to verify your receipt and tell the app whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device, your device model and operating system version, and your subscription transactions. It does not receive your name, email address, or payment details, and we do not link it to any account, because the app has no accounts.
- Email, if you send us one. If you write to support or join our email list, we keep your address and your message so we can reply and send you what you asked for.
How we use information
- To unlock Pro features for people who have paid for them.
- To reply to support requests and feedback.
- To send product updates you asked for, if you joined our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not upload or store your golf videos. We do not use your clips to train models. We do not run analytics or crash reporting. We do not use the advertising identifier, and the app never asks to track you, because it has nothing to track you with.
Sharing
We share data with two providers, and only what each needs: Apple, which processes purchases and delivers the app, and RevenueCat, which verifies purchase receipts so the app knows whether Pro is active. If you join our email list, the provider that hosts it stores your address. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
Retention
We keep email correspondence and mailing-list addresses until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed. Purchase records are retained for as long as required for accounting and to honour refunds and restores. Your videos are kept only on your device, for as long as you keep them there.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@tracervision.app. Because your videos live on your device, you can delete them at any time from within the app or your photo library.
Permissions the app asks for
- Photo library access so you can pick a swing video to trace, and so a finished video can be saved back to your camera roll. The app reads only the clip you choose.
- Camera access so you can record a swing without leaving the app.
You can change either permission at any time in the iOS Settings app. Nothing the app captures or reads is sent anywhere.
Children
Tracer Vision is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and where appropriate we'll notify you.
